Read here what Andy writes about himself:
"Hello, my name is Andy Kane. I have been an active RC modeler for over 40 years and I hold a private pilot license since 1975. I joined the District of Columbia Radio Control Club (DCRC) in 1969. My dad and I built our first Heath Kit radio and Goldberg Senior Falcon with a Webra .61 engine. From 1980 on, I served as Club Officer and Flight Training Instructor, and in 1990 I was elected Club President, whereas I formed both IMAA and IMAC Chapters. I have run numerous AMA Sanctioned contests and events, including The Bealeton IMAA Fly In, the Bealeton Scale Contest, the Mason Dixon Aerobatic Challenge, the JR Challenge and many others.
Currently, I serve as the AMA Event coordinator, on the AMA Government rules committee, IMAC sequence committee, IMAC sequence librarian; DCRC Club President, DCRC newsletter editor, DCRC membership secretary and I serve on the club’s Board of directors. I am also the assistant District VP for AMA and IMAA. I hold the title’s of AMA Experimental Inspector, Turbine CD, Turbine waiver holder and AMA Leader Member. I am a current member in AMA, IMAC, IMAA and JPO and I am an AMA Air Show Qualified Pilot in all categories. I attend the Joe Nall Fly In each and every year and I have competed in every World Aerobatic Masters, now the Don Lowe World Aerobatic Masters, since 1996, and have competed in the IMAC Nationals in the unlimited category for numerous years: I continue to work tirelessly for our hobby.
In "real life", I own a small, family run HVAC company, increased sales from 75,000 annually to over 1.2 million with an increasing number of as many as 10 employees. I also participate in the UAV business and many companies have called on me for my flying and expertise in the development of many projects. I have also served as a test pilot and flight instructor for many UAV platforms. My business experience and my passion for airplane modeling, especially giant scale aerobatics led me to join the Composite-ARF Team. I was instrumental in the development of the sales concept and from the beginning I have sold more planes than anyone in the company for over 7 years straight, I attribute my success to providing the best customer service possible. I am a modeler and I treat people the way I want to be treated. I like this all new concept of bringing our planes direct from the manufacturer for minimum cost. I do not have much time for building, so I love the CARF-Model planes, on top of that I am fascinated with the paint in the mold technology of the composite aircraft and their unique construction concept.
I would like to help you enter the world of CARF-Models ARF's! I know the construction details of the planes, as I have personally built every one of our models, I know how they fly, and I can help you to enjoy the full potential of these airplanes, during building and flying. I'm sure we will meet one day at the flying field with a Composite-ARF. See you there!"
