Flying Characteristics

| Influenced by modern F3A and Artistic Aerobatics Designs, we went other ways with our 2.1m Yak than with the "bigger birds". The streched design is not only responsible for neutral and precise flying characteristics, it also keeps the weight down. And look at that slim, elegant shape: Isn't it just beautiful? |

We always listen to our customers to improve our designs continously. When we first started in the 2m class, people didn't like the skin-hinged elevators of the Extra 2x2, because it was hard to get big throws. We changed it now to pin hinges, and you don't have any troubles anymore. Guaranteed. |
| While still providing enough fuselage side-area for the craziest knife-edge maneuvers, the 2.1m Yak's shape is quite aerodynamic. You'll get amazing power with a 50cc engine even on a canister. You can use a tuned pipe with a small modification to the tunnel if you want, but that's not aerobatics anymore, that's Air-Racing. Anyways, we suggest you the well-proven and lightweight DA-50 to have a powerful and reliable airplane. |

"Form follows function" - that's what we had on our mind while designing the small Yak. You have to go other ways to create an excellent flying plane in the 50cc class. And we made our homework! Our smallest aerobatic plane doesn't have to hide behind our other designs, just making it the perfect every-day training machine. |
