Turbine Conversion

Back to the Product Main Page

Even though the Spark was never designed for turbine use, many of your wanted to see how it flies with a jet engine. We installed a WREN 44 Gold in one, and were impressed, to say the least. Conversion is very easy. Only the intake ducts have to be cut inside the fuselage to give room for the fuel tank. The engine itself drops in with two small plywood spacers, easy to make from scrap plywood.

CARF Models offers a 1.1 liter fuel tank with plumbing material as a conversion set. WREN produces standard thrust tubes for their smallest engine, and the longer one does fit the spark perfectly. This can be ordered through CARF or directly at WREN. See the accessory listing for more info.
