DS-75 propulsion

In Europe the DS-75 has already earned the reputation of being the state-of-the-art powerplant for the Spark. It fits the mounts perfectly, the thrust tube diameters are perfectly adjusted to the fuselage’s exhaust nozzle. The DS-75 is available in various motor choices, we have found the Lehner in combination with the Jeti Spin 99 speed controller to be the best choice. Recommended batteries for this setup are the HDHE 5200 10S packs from our accessory catalog. They allow 5-6 minutes of flying time, depending on the throttle behavior of the pilot. The Schuebeler DS-75 is a bit fragile but definitely the lightest fan out there.

TJ-100 propulsion

In the US the TJ-100 has conquered the market within less than a year. An unbelievable powerhouse designed by TamJets. The fan is smaller in diameter, works with a smaller exhaust diameter. But physics tell us that if the same amount of air has to pass a smaller hole, it has to be one thing: FASTER! That’s the philosophy of the TamJets TJ-100. Extremely high rpm and pitch create the fastest air velocity available on the market today. The fan itself is also all carbon, the shroud is full carbon, thus a bit more rigid. TamJets includes with their fans an intake liner and a little bit of mounting hardware so that this fan drops into our Spark as well as the DS-75 does. The speed controller is mounted in the cone right behind the motor. Less wiring, more cooling. Great idea. As the TamJets System builds on the DEAN connectors, we offer an extension cable to install the fan and the battery packs easily, and we also offer HDHE packs in 10 and 11 cell configuration, ready to connect to your power system. With the TJ-100 and 10 cells your Spark will exceed 300 km/h for sure!
