Engine Choices

Of course, we want to make it easy for you to install whatever engine you want – with amazingly small changes. That's why we don't offer a special „electric version“ and a heavier „glow version“ or whatever! All accessories to install every common glow or electric engine are just included in the kit. Things can be so easy, if you do it right.
	You can access all your engine components easily through the removable cowling at the bottom of the fuselage, like it should be with a state-of-the-art F3A competition plane. If you use an electric engine, this is also the best way to change the batteries. The horizontal plate in the middle of the fuselage is used for mounting the landing gear and gives it additional stiffness. Where necessary, the parts are reinforced with carbon fiber.
If you're planning to use a glow engine, modern fourstroke motors like the YS140FZ, the 160DZ or the new OS200 are the best way to go. The firewall, made from carbon coated plywood, is included. You only have to glue it in place and add your engine mount. There is enough room to use flexible mounting systems to keep the vibrations low.
	Probably the most popular electric motor is the Hacker C-50 XL Competition, so we decided to add a complete motor mount, milled from carbon fiber plates. Of course, you can also use other engines, but please understand that the huge variety on the market makes it impossible for us to include hardware, which can be used with every engine.
