On the Controls

| All control surfaces are flex hinged, which means, they are laminated as one piece with the rest of the flying surface, and then single sidedly separated by a precise cut. |
Large ailerons are extremely effective, even at lower rates, so that the single sided hinging does not provide any negative effects to the rolling performance. Servo mounts are pre-installed in wing hatches. |
| The Flaps are especially designed to not only increase lift, but also drag. A portion of the flaps protrudes the top wing skin and acts as a speed brake door. The flaps should be operated very carefully and not at high speeds, because they are extremely effective and there is a risk that they’d be ripped off the wing. |
Elevator and rudder are also skin hinged, large and very effective. Long and solid control horns are glued in the factory, as well as the servo mounts are preinstalled and aligned. |
| In general all control surface deflections should be set quite moderate for the first flight, since they are all large and very effective. Later, with some experience and hours in the air, you will love the agility these large controls provide to your “Flash”, and automatically you will increase deflections as your experience gains. |
