Plug and Molds

| All work on the plugs was CNC-supported, but at the end the aluminium sheeting with all its details had to be done by hand. Hundreds of hours detail work (rivets, hatches, panel lines), outline checked by several static judges during the construction process. The result is a set of 63 mold parts, one of the most complex set of molds ever made for a model airplane, for sure. Only the fuselage mold consists of 7 parts, all to be joined and taken apart for every fuselage made. |

The airfame is reinforced with Carbonfibre and Kevlar in the necessary places, and it's massive strength, yet low weight, has been proven many times both in competition & extreme high-G manoeuvres in flight displays. Structural bulkheads, ribs and stringers are a laminated sandwich of carbon/ply or carbon/balsa where necessary. |
